Toho Elisabeth cast is up for the August-October 2010 run.

I saw it and kind of fell over.

First of all, I hereby crow about the Asako!Elisabeth rumour being confirmed. She must be working hard on recovering her soprano, but this is a glorious normal-theatre debut, a great role to start with, and she's going to own the stage.

Komu got Elisabeth again ♥ I just hope that this time, enterprising fans with cameras will do better ;)

Yuichiro Yamaguchi is Death again, because you'll have to hit him over the head with a shovel to get him off the stage. Since his voice is pure honeyed velvet, that is a YAY in my book.

We get two new Deaths, too. Shirota Yuu (since he has TeniMyu and SeraMyu history... *eyes TeniMyu and SeraMyu fans* any comments on how he'll handle a forceful rockstar demon?) and Ishimaru Kanji, an ex-Raoul I haven't seen.

And the real Omigod-You-Guys is for Sophie. Mori Keaki. Who's had like one role since her retirement as Yukigumi topstar (and Andre to Maki's Oscar) in 1993. Kotobuki Hizuru's the other Sophie, as usual, but Mori!

FYI, the Rudolf-of-the-month for October is Urai Kenji, Lucheni is Takashima Masahiro (aka Mr Sylvia Grab), and Franz Joseph is... Ishikawa Zen. Dear heavens, this is going to be good.

Now, where was my airplane ticket search engine?

THANK YOU! You are, like, the 'only' other person I know who also thinks that Shirota Yuu "can't sing worth a damn" *__* (and not to be a horrible person but his lisp also drives me insaaane... >_>; ) I liked him in Hana Kimi though.

As I said, I'm not overly impressed with any of the Tenimyu singing I have ever heard. (and unlike most of the fangirls I've seen different productions live) You really just go to them to see Japanese guys acting super super gay. I think I would quite possibly try to break a speaker if I ever had to hear "Do Your Best" again as that has to be among the worst songs I have ever heard and I actually like current American pop. Give me the Britney Spears in a second, she's a far more talented singer than 95% of a Tenimyu cast.

I liked him in Rookies, even though I kept wondering why there was a white guy going to school in Japan. He was quite good in his bit role in Konda wa Aisaka (The Good Husband) as well, though I 1) didn't realize it was him at first and 2) I had as hard a time believing he was in high school as the majority of the cast of Beverly Hills 90210. lol It was a great movie overall though with a good script and solid acting. But I've never seen him in anything come off as manly, he's just always so incredibly bottomy.

Ahhh I see lol. What is Tenimyu, btw? I've only seen him in Seramyu as far as musicals go and am unfamiliar with Tenimyu.

LOL nice XD XD I did like him in Hana Kimi though, since his role was that of the main guy's high-jump rival, and I think it suited him better. I'd be afraid to see him in Toho Elisabeth though, as the main male singer character in one of my most favorite musicals. (He and Marina suited each other with their equally horrible singing and acting though *shudders*)

Tenimyu== Tennis no Oujisama Musicals. They're based off the Tennis no Oujsama (Prince of Tennis) manga/anime. It has a huge fan following both Internationally and in Japan and might possible have had musicals than Sailor Moon even. The story follows a bunch of Jr. High Tennis playing boys who have what is best described as magical tennis abilities the defy the laws of physics. It's also extremely popular with yaoi fans and doujinshika. The musicals are full of bad bad songs, bad acting, and not very good singing, but are beloved by fans. I personally think they are popular because they are populated by relatively good looking young Japanese males. I don't know if Yuu did Seramyu or Tenimyu first, but I saw him in one of the Tenimyu permutations during one of my Japan trips.

I never watched HanaKimi. I don't actually watch a lot of dramas. I mostly ended up seeing the movies I saw because I was on the plane and it is 14 hours to Tokyo. ^^;; Though I really really liked Konda wa Aisaka and now sort of want to own it.

AHH 'kay, now that makes sense lol. I've actually heard of Prince of Tennis, though I've never seen it, and I totally didn't know there were musicals on it either. Sounds like something I should definitely stay away from though XD XD
