Just a quick note to let people know I survived Oberhausen, albeit with a damnable cold. In point form:
  • Cologne and Düsseldorf are both pretty. And wet.

  • The Roman-German museum in Cologne remains as amazing as ever.

  • According to the guy in the theatre box office, Jan Ammann broke his leg.

  • However, Kevin Tarte was not in good form on the Hamburg proshot. Now, he is. The difference is dramatic.

  • I got to make him snicker onstage and got a picture with him at stagedoor.

  • The Oberhausen run of Tanz der Vampire just got extended to January. And it's worth it.
Now, not to fall over at work. It's going to be a challenge.

*giggles* I guess he's tired of running away from the bite all the time when all everyone really wants is to be bitten by hot vampires? :D Which Alfred was that, the first cast?

Glad you enjoyed! I look forward to hearing more.

I'll keep the name in mind. And I agree on Alreds. I'm very hard to please with Alfreds, really.

I've been pretty impressed by the two Hungarians I've seen live. László wasn't yet so good when I first saw him, but by now he's improved tons and is quite excellent. And their new 20-year-old Alfred they've got is freaking adorable and has the most amazing voice ever. But otherwise I haven't been too impressed with other Alfreds than Aris Sas.

And you could see that Sarah adored him in the "want to hug him and pet him and mess up his hair" way, so that made for great chemistry in their shared scenes.

Aww, that's exactly the way in which an Alfred should be adorable. ;-)

I haven't seen either of them, though Tibor didn't strike me as Alfred-ish enough on the bootleg I saw (whatever is my definition of Alfred-ish), despite there being nothing as such wrong with him. I saw László first in Jan 2008 and then thought him good but could-have-been-better, nowadays I find him excellent. The boy's developed a lot, I promise. His voice is way better now, too. Gyuri still has the most amazing voice, but his acting needs a bit more polishing. He's basically a really good Alfred though, he's going to be great with more experience.

Tibor just comes off very, VERY gay... though that might've something to do with Oberhausen as well...

Should there be some kind of warning label, you think? Or the spooky voice warning vampires might spontaniously turn into campires?

Well, I compensated for it, didn't I? ;)

I should make an icon of tht pic... I'm thinking something along the lines of "I had a count... but I eated him." ;)

I do also have a pic where he bites me... "I bite back... even when you're Von Krolock"

I want to know more about the change in Kevin Tarte. How much better is he?

Too bad about Jan! But at least Kevin made up for it!

The Oberhausen run of Tanz der Vampire just got extended to January. And it's worth it.

And this were the best news of the day! I have no idea how I could not hear about this, but it definitely brightens my evening immensely. Now I can go to the Vienna run if I like the cast (whenever they will finally announce it *grumbles*) and go to Oberhausen! Good times!

Also - I want to see the photos as well!
