New acquisition

Photo is from her halfway house (she's a foundling rescued by a very nice cat lady). Milady is now exploring, while Lestat grumbles. *goes to hug furball the elder*

She's not even five months old yet :D Tiny, just exceedingly long-limbed in a way that says she'll be a very fearsome beast when grown. (And stamina. I played with her for an hour in the halfway house and she's still got energy enough to explore our flat.)

I'm hoping so too :) He can be temperamental at times, but generally gets on with other cats. And she's been raised with 7 others in the halfway house!

Kitteh! She looks like my childhood cat, Jenny. He (I was four when I named him, and immune to the argument that Jenny was an odd name for a male cat) was a wildly active little hunter when he was younger, but he mellowed with age. She's beautiful!

I think you'll have distractions enough ;) Though two girls I know with recent-vintage descendants both think that toddler+kitten = perfect cabaret.

We almost wondered whether she's not a guy after all, but nope - just a very tomboyish kitty-girl.

Thus far Lestat's grumbling, but not hitting her or anything. For once, he's on the receiving end of "Mrr? Play???" - and she's miles better mannered than he was at that age!

She's also very... interactive :) Loves being talked to. She might not always obey or respond, but she always perks up.

It's more my current 16 year old kitty and her reaction than baby or toddler, but I imagine a baby is going to keep my hands super full.

Once you've had time to grieve (and time to get used to the baby), company could be nice for the cat as well. We did that for Lady P and I'm fairly certain that looking after Tonio extended her life.
