Personally, I'm becoming increasingly frustrated at the inability of Medecins Sans Frontières to take donations online from Poland. If I don't find a way to do it, it'll be the Polish Humanitarian Action. (And kudos to our award-winning rescuers and their canine friends, who are on a plane to Haiti just now.)

In my experience MSF can be very flaky about donations generally. I used to make a monthly donation but after I changed banks, despite repeated calls to them, they never managed to restore my direct debit and eventually I gave up on them...

Bother :( Guess that's doctors for you, they don't make the best businessmen in my experience ;) Too much other knowledge crowds out the business sense.

I went straight to the Red Cross office in my town to find out what their account number was for the Haiti relief fund, because the (obviously young) volunteer I talked on the phone with this morning was clueless.

One of these days charities are going to have to figure out that the whole world is online, not just a few countries, and manage to make their online donations process work seamlessly for everyone. We'll all probably be dead of old age before that day comes, though!
