Comment and I'll give you a letter, then you have to list ten people/places/things you love that begin with that letter, afterwards post it on your journal and fill out letters of your own.

[livejournal.com profile] demoneyeskyo87 gave me "I" :)

Ichiro Maki

The reason [livejournal.com profile] demoneyeskyo87 gave me "I", I presume ;) I've adored her for coming on four years now, for Elisabeth, for being a wonderful singer and actress, for her utter determination, and her charm (I believe Uwe Kröger, Sylvester Levay, Michael Kunze and Frank Wildhorn all count as victims, not to mention a Death she charmed so much that he married her). She's my go-to girl for when I need motivation, and I have far too much of her merchandise. My excuse is that her photobooks are really, really pretty ♥

Aoki Izumi

Cheating on the alphabet just a little bit ;) Morie is one of my top three current Takarasiennes (the others would be Hiromi and Tomomin). She first caught my attention with her infectious smile, then held it with her acting and her voice. She's also the one who's getting the first gift I ever send to a theatre - after yesterday's news I bought a tiny needlework-lace angel that's on its way to her now. For luck.

Izumo Aya

I loved her in every show I got on DVD, with special mentions to Carlotta, Lady Bracknell and Sophie, but she continues to win my devotion with her blog. She's everywhere! She knows everyone! All fear Taki-san and her Phone Camera of Doom!

Ich

I remain stubbornly fond of the Rebecca musical, and the most important factor is what Kunze and Levay have done with Daphne du Maurier's little lost narrator, the power and agency they gave to her as the person who literally rescues herself and her man from the darkness.

Inari

Climbing the Inari tori-trail was an absolutely magical day in Japan. These gates go on forever, in the heat of the forest, and whenever there is a break, there are altars and candles and foxes. Hands down my favourite temple, and then we went down (via getting lost) and had inari-zushi, hands down my favourite sushi. I really miss it - it's impossible to get in Poland.

Italy

With all that happened later, I haven't posted half as much about Rome as I wanted to. It was completely magical, so much history and life. I've been to Italy twice before, and each time was wonderful in its own way. Once in school on a winter skiing trip that, because I didn't ski then, turned out to be mostly wandering around flea markets and graveyards, then a few years ago a four days' work trip in Milan that landed me in hospital, got me very good medical advice, and then left me wandering, light-headed, in the August heat between the Duomo and the Sforza castle, in a medieval maze of streets and museums that I want to get back to at some point.

Ice

Winter's my favourite time of year - the icicles and snow and the crunch of it under my feet. Right now there's over a foot of snow, and it might be a tad too much, but hey, proper winter. I'll deal.

Icons

No, not the LJ kind ;) I'm fascinated by Orthodox icons both as spiritual expression and as art. One day, I would gladly have a few of the kind designed to hang in a house. Just to be safe.

Incense

One of the reasons I'm looking forward to moving out is because no-one will protest about incense. I love the smell of it, the scent like an old church. My favourite scents are mild fruit ones, or true resins of the kind they burn in churches.

Intrigue

I like plots. Not just in my books ;) I love dissecting people's behaviour and trying to discover what drives them. I mostly do this to public figures, often with [livejournal.com profile] fyrie, and we're very often proven right.

I don't trust you not to throw X at me, as soon as I agree to it ;)

I would have you know that I'm a pacifict ;) I shall, however, choose the water balloon as my weapons of choice.
