A really, really good amateur Krolock

Unstillbare Gier is the favourite song for amateur musical singers to record on Youtube - probably because it has less hard notes than Music of the Night ;) Imagine my amazement when I found a 20-year-old at a Gymnasium concert who's actually good. And I mean better than some Krolocks I've seen in actual professional productions. I think I've got a newbie to keep an eye on:

I guess it might be his real name. But since his myspace is under "Grafvonkrolock", I wouldn't put anything past him as far as vampire obsessions are concerned ;)

EDIT: And the site of his school lists a Daniel Holtz as a graduate, so I guess the poor guy was just fated to be vamp-obsessed ;)

My question: Where do people get that AMAZING cloak? Do they really make it? It's one of the beautiful things I love about this musical. Can't really watch it with audio ('cause I'm at work), but dude, just watching his gestures is like watching a 'pro-Krolock' go at it.

From his myspace I think he's a Goth, which means it could be possibly store-bought :) You can get amazing things in the UK and Germany. Though I wouldn't put it past him to sew it himself, it looks like the role's completely eaten his mind.

He's got a nice warm resonance in his voice; stronger breath techniques could truly bring it to the forefront, and he's obviously taken that into consideration.

I'd love to see him perform some more enthusiastic cape twirls, to be honest. These were like the fierce twitchings of a panther's tail while stalking back and forth in discontent. Full of power and promise-- Really makes me wonder how he'd handle a full-circle swoop.

Definitely a man to watch. Thank you for sharing!

I think that on that particular stage, if he'd swung his cloak fully he'd brain someone in the orchestra ;)

(Which I've seen Krolocks do, especially in Warsaw where the main one wasn't fond of the conductor. You could tell how much they'd argued by how often in Gott ist Tot the cloak boxed him over the ears.)
