Sep. 3rd, 2007 08:28 amJust got home :) Budapest yay. Vampires SQUEE. Especially since one Von Krolock is a total fan of the Warsaw production to the point of copying the faces Lukasz made, and the other... the other is a bouncy fluffy baby Von Krolock who looks and sounds like Máté Kamarás's younger cousin.
And yes, I have boots. Only second act of the second Von Krolock for some reason, but nice clear boots :> Reviews upcoming.

Date: 2007-09-03 07:50 am (UTC)I'm glad you got to see both Géza and Sándor! I've been hoping someone would comment on both of them. :) I really like both of their voices based on the bits I've heard, and I like the Sándor's looks... I hope I'll get to see both of them, too. Really, I'll probably end up spending every night in some theatre or concert hall. :P

Date: 2007-09-03 08:09 am (UTC)Sándor... I don't think he's been playing much, and it showed, as did his eagerness to play more. It felt like the role was controlling him, not the other way around. Absolutely no command of his facial expressions, which sometimes resulted in pulling very silly faces. But he's got so much eagerness and pulled himself together in the second act brilliantly, even though he was skirting disaster the entire time :) And mixed up the words in Unstillbare, but that happens to every VK at some point.

Date: 2007-09-03 08:24 am (UTC)I adore the Hungarian costumes. Von Krolock's, especially - they seem to be the only ones besides the Viennese who know how to dress him stylishly. And I like Sarah's ball dress in the pictures very much, too. And the boots. :P

Date: 2007-09-03 08:45 am (UTC)Gotta say we had a full house each time, and when we bought the Sunday matinee tickets on Friday morning there were no two seats together in the whole house left, so I'm hoping they'll extend :) Especially since I saw some people at two performances, and one pair at all three.
Also do try to catch Tibor, second Alfred, because while Laszlo's a very cute Alfred with great acting skills, he's got a barely passable voice and no chemistry with anyone. I saw the same cast members with him and Tibor, and the difference was dramatic - Tibor was getting molested all over the place ;)
And you wouldn't happen to know how old both Krolocks are? And whether Sándor and Máté are related, because really, if I didn't know - he's JUST like Máté would be as VK circa 2000. Same smile, voice, movements, nose.

Date: 2007-09-03 08:53 am (UTC)Hopefully they will extend, at least after January if they can't now in the autumn. It could be that the theatre they're using for it needs it for their own shows, but if Tanz is doing so well then hopefully they'll be able to get a place for a longer time.
Thanks for the rec about Alfreds - I didn't much like Laszlo's voice what I'd heard, good to know the other one is worth seeing. :)
I don't know about Géza, though I'll have to find out, but Sándor is born in 1980 if I recall correctly. Not old, in any case. I haven't come across any bit about him and Máté being related, but should I find out it's the case, I'll sure let you know. :D
