winter: (emote - rar)

A week without an entry, but not for any emo reason. Just busy at work.

Managed to miss [livejournal.com profile] imadra_blue and [livejournal.com profile] moodpoisoning's birthdays though - sorry girls, and my best wishes :)

The thing that angers me most this week is the fact that the postmen are on strike. All this week and talks still haven't finished, so next week's probably down the drain too, then gods know how much time to sort things out again. Perfect timing for holiday cards and online shopping - for once I managed to convince 3 persons in the family to buy me imported DVDs and I have no idea whether they'll get delivered on time :/

This would be one of the reasons I'm sending no cards this year.

It's also in the way of my musical trading plans, just when I talked someone else into copying DVDs for me. [livejournal.com profile] valancystar, I have no idea when I'll receive your package - turns out my post office itself went on strike, so I can't even go there to check if it arrived in Poland. I'll try to get B to copy that DVD for you and I'll send it whenever I can.

(And for the record, I know postmen here are paid peanuts - I think that after taxes they receive 250 euro per month for 10 hours per day of hard work. I'm angry with the postal management for not negotiating this more quickly. You're holding up the whole country, dammit!)

Gah, I wish I'd realized that was going to happen so I'd have taken care to get the package out a little earlier. That must be so incredibly frustrating. I'd be so aggravated if I couldn't receive mail for weeks, and for some people it may create huge problems, too. I hope they'll get it negotiated as soon as possible so that you'll get your things as soon as possible.

I've got a few with Stanley linked in my youtube account, m'dear, including Mama Wo Bist Du, Meyerling and the funeral plus Schleier Fallt ;)

*giggles* That is far too appropriate. The Dutch Schatten is rather odd.

I do adore Stanley to bits. He's one of my favourites. :D But the choreography there is a bit odd. Then, of course, I've seen the Finnish Schatten nine times, so you'd think I wouldn't mind.

I've got two videoclips of Máté and Lukas - Schatten and Mayerling. Yes, their chemistry is lovely, even if Lukas's Rudolf is a bit too spineless to my liking. I haven't got the whole boot, alas - I know where to get it, but that person has so many other things I want I haven't yet got around to trading for that one with her since I already have those two videoclips. But I can send you their Mayerling once I'm home on my own computer (now I'm at my mother's).

I generally love the way Stanley moves. I don't know how anyone can move like that - is he a werecat or something? ;-)

Sure, I'll upload both Schatten and Mayerling with those two to you once I'm home again. Tomorrow evening or Monday, I'm not yet sure which. I do adore those clips. And Máté's wandering hands. They actually wander even more with Lukas than with Jesper, though there isn't as much tension because Lukas's Rudolf isn't quite like Jesper's (and his hands don't wander back...). :D

I think it might be that Lukas was more indulgent of being groped ;) (Though I may have been watching that interview clip a wee bit too much.)

Lukas does seem to be very fond of Máté, doesn't he? ;-)

Quite understandable that you haven't had the energy to write it yet. Keeping yourself sane comes first, after all. :)

Here's the download link to Schatten. And here to Mayerling. Unless I mistook the files in my sleepiness, in which case you must tell me. ;-)

Indeed! The one with Jesper is a bit similar, and I love how in both cases, there actually is a lot of acting in that scene. Their way of playing it connects it a lot more to the way Rudolf's suicide really happened (what with Rudolf being scared to die and all). Gah, I wish they'd filmed the DVD when Lukas or Jesper was still playing Rudolf. Or at least had someone better than Fritz for that part...

I understand they couldn't just tell Fritz "okay, you've been playing Rudolf for months, but now that we're filming it, we're going to call Lukas back from the other theatre for that performance because he's way better than you" - but why did they cast him in the first place? Surely they could have found someone better?

That's annoying... I wish I wasn't completely stupid with computers so I could make videoclips or something.

So nice to see you in LJ land...........

Oh yuck. *kicks your postal office* A cynical part of me can't help but wonder if the timing is on purpose, with all the Holiday shopping going around that's sure to provide some extra pressure. Blegh.

I would say so, because ours are about to go for a strike again too, from what I've heard. Evil corporate swine, keeping the money from the workers and presents from the people!

Thank you, sweetie. ♥ I've been off LJ a lot, so it's no biggie. And honestly, it wouldn't be a big deal even if I wasn't. Birthdays come and go. XD

And ack. Post office workers on strike = badness. I hope it works out soon. :S
