Can anyone tell me how to get the "previous n posts" link on LJ's S2 Digital Multiplex layout? Because I chose that layout for irime, and now her friends page doesn't have that link.

Elf update: thanks to ladylalaith, Fingon's human name is now Val, for Valery. Fingon the VALiant, after all.

I think Fingon would like to know the reason for your reaction. Especially since he called the resident loremaster of the family, and learned that Valery is an old, traditional name in Russia, and also in French (though it has other etymological origins there).

Because Val doesn't sound good for an elf. It makes him, like, an accountant's assisstant.

It's not supposed to sound elven at all. If it helps, Maedhros is Michael, and Thranduil's human alias is Randy.

(And I always found it kinda cool, though of course it has a different context here. Plus, real reason is because my Fingon looks like a very young Val Kilmer.)

Both those names have bad connotations for me -- also, Lorenzo is an Italian name, and Glorfindel does not look all that Italian, in my mind.

Laurie/Lawrence, perhaps? Seems like a decent rewrite of Laurefindil.
