Tanz der Vampire might be on hiatus, and I really need to go buy tickets for the shows in May, but that doesn't mean I'm not keeping on top of things.

The second-cast Krolock (due to whom I've already had to return two sets of tickets, since he's not who I want to see onstage!) was supposed to be now in Cats, but instead broke his leg badly while showing off for a few fans. Six weeks of having it in a cast, then physiotherapy - I'm feeling bad for him, but on the other hand, no more trying to peddle off tickets just because of argh, wrong Krolock :>

On the TdV fan forum, not only did I learn the name of the dancer who plays Krolock's shirtless dream-avatar, but also that he's commonly known as "the half-naked beefcake". Which is, you know, an accurate description. (This is also the guy who has sex on stage with both Sarah and Alfred's dream-avatars, and shares a lovely long kiss with Alfred's avatar...)

Also, Kuba Wocial finally has a proper site. And he'll be putting on the abridged Phantom Of The Opera again, and I'll be there in a flash. Also, there's a music section with samples of his voice - go listen to Music of the Night and you'll know why I want to send him flowers :D

You want to know something else? The guy's bloody 19, and he actually studied art in secondary school, not music. And he never mentions who he learned singing from, so I have a scary feeling it might be self-taught.

Tanz doesn't nearly highlight his voice enough - he can't show off in Wenn Liebe, and in Carpe Noctem he only sings the second verse. But! I'm going to see him in Phantom! :D :D :D

Oh, enjoy him! Finally someone who has the lovely voice the Phantom is meant to have! The Phantom I saw was mediocre to say the least and Gerry, while pretty, doesnt have the voice I long to hear.

Also oh my HOLY FRICK! No man should be able to sing I Dreamed A Dream like that! Pardon me, while I now curl up with mp3 fragments and have goosebump attacks. I have heard few manly voices that give me such a tingle down my spine like his has already.

There are a few Phantoms I've heard and adored - John Owen-Jones is one, the one in the Canadian cast album, and Yuichiro Yamaguchi (though I've only heard him as Raoul) - but between that voice and the emotion that comes from the fact Kuba's one of the biggest Phans in existence, he's right up there with the stars.

And if ever anyone tries to put on the full-scale Phantom in Poland and doesn't cast Kuba as Erik... let's just say I wouldn't put it past him to have a Punjab lasso in his dressing room :>

Oh, hee! You have to love the fans of things who manage to make it into the shows :D And gah! In case I hadn't been emphatic enough, gah! That voice is quite, quite astounding. Not to mention he pulls off the song clips he has on his site beautifully, since 2 of them are for women and since Bring Him Home is freakishly high up the register for a chap (Mind you, Canadian Phantom (who I think sings as Sean Connery would if he could sing) did it in Original London of Les Miserables))

*wibbles* I haven't seen a musical in so, so long. Alas that I need to go to London to see the ones I really want to, but have no one to meet up with down there who would be interested *poutd* Silly musicals fans, all stuck in different countries.

Speaking of freakishly high, he sang Think Of Me during that recital I attended. Without the vocalising bit at the end, but still. And he also sang Twisted Every Way, pulling off every note, every time. If he didn't look that manly, I'd be wondering ;)

Alas that Tanz doesn't really allow him to show off that voice (though it does allow him to show off the dancing and acting skills, because those? also rock). But I'm seriously tempted, apart from definitely going to see his Phantom, to get more tickets for the ALW Symphonic Pictures thing. Because half of that is Phantom, too, and voice like an angel is a very accurate description.
