Dark Prince: The True Story of Dracula

Just saw snippets of this movie on some German channel. Low-budget (made for TV?), but looks reasonably true to form, and Rudolf Martin's insanely delicious as Vlad-darling. €6 for the DVD on Amazon.De? I have to remember to order it the next time I'm assembling a shipment.

Mmmm, not!vampire. Who are they kidding, exactly?

I've seen this, it's really good. It suggests that he was raped by the turks when they took him hostage, he was only as harsh as the turks when it came to impaling (there's lots of that - i mean they don't call him vlad the man who gave flowers) and really loved his wife. Roger Daltry's a bit miscast as the king of hungary and it has twists in it, but it's really good. You can see how the myth came to be. I got it from www.amazon.co.uk and it was about the same price.

I saw bits of the courting scene, and the part where he kills his (second) predecessor on the throne - I was really impressed by the actor. I'm something of a fan of historical Dracula, so it's nice to see a movie that gives that fascinating story, and not just "OMG he was really a vampire" :)

They've got the dark and brooding image right there, by the looks of it...
Sounds like a good film ;-)

Well, there is the low budget part, which means that there's only one castle playing every castle in the film, the impaling poles look more like javelins, and battles are fought at night, in the fog and in the rain to hide the fact there's 30 people tops on the battlefield ;) But for €6, I'll buy it just to watch a good Dracula performance.

It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I even found it quite enjoyable. (And Vlad's brother is called Radu the Handsome and there's a lot of slashy scenes @_@)

The more common translation is Radu the Beautiful ;) That's one story where slash is historical canon...

Would that be this diet? It's quite similar to the 1000-calorie thing I was doing for a while, just with a lot of my stomach illness triggers >_< Ah well, the 1000-calorie thing worked well for me when combined with exercise - in November and December, I managed to lose almost 6kg. Would be more impressive if I hadn't gained 4kg in September-October...

The movie looks major-fun if you don't mind the low-budget thing :) I'll be ordering it from Amazon, so you'll be welcome to borrow the DVD should your interest hold.

I don't think that's it. >_>; THey have diets based on not eating some stuff together or trying to eclude some from your diet at all. Plus, they give you chrome and other dieting pills. My mom's friend lost 20kg with them and no yoyo effect so far - it's been over a year now. :o
And I know about your stomach problems, but they do all kids of medical examinations and shouldn't do much harm.. ^^;
And I'm looking forward to borrowing some of your collection, now that I have a DVD player~ :3 I can give you asian movies - and traumatizing korean dramas. ;I
