The sleepy sickness has degenerated into full-blown plague, which at least solves my riddle of what to do on New Year's Eve. Now if only some shop in this backwater had caviar... I want caviar with my champagne, dammit.

Why did I know someone would take this? XD

1. Kamui-chan! As the punk-ass rebel in the first volume, mind you. I don't like weepy uke Kamui much.
2. Karen. As a type, she influenced a lot of my work, and certainly my characters' attitudes to sex.
3. Fuuma. I just don't get him, I guess :S
4. Definitely Kusanagi. He's such a woobie - I think his only fault was that X became popular before shota and loli turned mainstream. Nowadays, no-one would bat an eyelid and him and Yuzu
5. It pains me to say it, but Seishirou. The longer I know him, the more I want to drop something on him. Like a piano.
6. ...Fuuma. Yes, I'm VERY shallow.
7. You mean, which one of that cast that has more issues than the New York Times? Pass.
8. Kamui. Though he was recovering in the last installments before the hiatus.
9. ...SeixSu, still. Old love dies hard. I've also grown fond of Sakurazukamori!Subaru x post-X!Kamui
10. Fuuma/Seishirou. Sei-chan Does Not Bottom, much like a certain character in my NaNo (and here I thought I'd put X entirely behind me...)

1. Ron, I guess. Cluelessly adorable.
2. Lucius Malfoy. Git.
3. Dumbledore, especially after HBP. Manipulative bastard. And people think Voldemort's the Big Evil...
4. Lucius, I guess, in that I love him for just the scheming, self-denying, slimy git he is. Most fans tend to be apologists.
5. Molly Weasley. Gods, what a hypocrite.
6. Lucy-dearest of course :D Tied to the bed, with snakes, his cane beside him and waiting for me to pick it up... right, where was I?
7. Yet another fandom where everyone's screwed up. Lucius is nice, if in need of a lesson in choosing your leaders and leaving yourself an escape route.

9. Sirius/Remus. Let's hear it for puppy love.
10. Snape/Harry. UGH. And it's not the teacher thing, because I'm quite fond of Snape/Hermione. It's just... ugh. Does not compute.

Yay!

1. Catwoman. Selina is purring luv, especially when played by Michelle Pfeiffer.
2. Azrael. When I read the summaries of Knight-whatever I was "ugh", but then I read the stories themselves, and "Sword of Azrael", and the first 12 or so issues of his standalone, and dammit but Jean-Paul is a freaking adorable psychotic religious DNA-recombination experiment.
3. Joker, I guess. He's just a psycho who gets lucky. IMHO the title of Bats' greatest enemy should belong to either Ra's (the one with the most destructive potential) or Harvey (strongest emotional ties).
4. Azrael again. How can you hate a Beatles-loving geek who blushes at the thought of kissing girls and can take out anyone in single combat?
5. Leslie Thompkins. But only because her character has been mutilated beyond all recognition.
6. If I absolutely have to pick one, then Nightwing. I know, how original. Otherwise, Bruce, movie!Ducard, Azrael (mwahahaha, choirboy to corrupt!) and movie!Crane would all make the list.
7. Nightwing, I guess. He makes the best out of everything that happens to him.
8. Bruce, though I doubt it would be of much use. A crowbar wouldn't jar that guy's brain.
9. Bruce/Selina=OTP^eleventy
10. Dick/Tim. Trips all my icky incest wires. Please note that I don't have any problems with Batman/Nightwing, on the other hand.

I'm not a huge Batman follower, but even so, I've never understood the appeal of the Joker myself, though I still had excess squee when rumours abounded that Paul Bettany would play him in the next film opposite Bale :)

Joker's easy to play - he's got no motivation beyond being EVIL. Which is the cause of the boredom, really, but makes for a good challenge for the right actor. Jack Nicholson was a particularly inspired bit of casting there.

I doubt there are actually that many important characters, though ;)

1. Herbert, Krolock's son. He flounced onto the stage, and I was all "OMG big gay Draco Malfoy yay!!!"
2. Krolock. At first he was just a cool demon-lover character to me, but then the bloody git had to go and sing "Unstillbare Gier" and grab my heart. I'm a sucker for angst/hate/tragedy done in a stylish way.
3. The professor, I guess. He's a stuck-up hypocrite who can't do his own dirty work and gets mad at Alfred when he doesn't do it for him.
4. I don't think there are any characters that people hate, really. As far as obscure characters are concerned, I'm terribly fond of the dancer who stands in for Krolock in the dream sequence. Bare muscular chest, long dark hair, tattoos, VERY long onstage kiss with the Alfred-double...
5. I used to be fonder of Sarah, the female lead, before. But I've grown a little disillusioned - it might be a result of the actress getting into a relationship with the boy who plays Alfred (human male lead, innocent student), but I get the impression that Sarah's relationship with Krolock is just a means to an end, a way of getting her freedom and being her own woman in a way she could never be as a Jewish innkeeper's daughter. Then again, he doesn't exactly pine for her, so it's all good.
6. I don't really have to answer that one, do I?
7. Ditto. 300-years-old vampires all the way, dude.
8. Alfred, so he can wake up and realise that being a vampire is just the thing for him
9. Herbert/Alfred. They waltz together, and Herbert keeps grabbing Alfred's butt :D

Natsumi-chan. She's the perfect anime girl, only she's not, but you only see that after a while.

Himiko. Get over yourself already, Lady Poison.

Kazuki, I guess. Only so much I can take.

Fudou. I like my psychopaths, and while I don't mind bloodplay, Akabane might be too extreme for me.

Akabane-sama! Cool and unruffled and genkiiiii!!!!

Himiko. Ugh.

Ban/Ginji, forever and ever. As far as crack pairings go, I'm also fond of Akabane/Ginji, Akabane/Natsumi (I may be the only person to have written it, though) and Akabane/Fudou.

10. A pairing that I despise
Ban/Himiko. Neither of them would be good for the other.
