Recipe plea for help

I'm a bloody researcher. I know Google like the back of my hand. I can make it juggle and whistle and take over the global economy at once.

I cannot, however, find a normal, no-frills recipe for soft-baked chocolate chip cookies.

I know there are many American people on the f-list. Can someone please help a poor soul devoid of that USian staple? I don't want mint, nuts, or truffles in it. I want to bake plain c-chip cookies. Judging by books and fanfic, that should be about the easiest and quickest thing to bake.

But I really, really need a recipe :S

I actually rarely use Google that much anymore - certainly not first. Vivisimo/Clusty gives me essentially the same information and lets me narrow my search with far more ease.

Alas, their results are very US-centric from a few sample searches I've found. Since CEE's my focus, that doesn't quite cut it for me :/

That's a shame, and odd. I've done some searches for international information (international sources, for western europe, eastern europe, the middle east, east asia, and latin america) and had no problems. Maybe I've been lucky.

I think it might be a language thing. The English results are fine, if taking a little to get used to, but the Polish ones are much worse, and so are the few sample German and French searches I ran. And quite frankly, I find the categories counter-intuitive.

Ah well. I do most of my searching on securities.com and Factiva anyway :)

Probably the language, and probably a function of what we're looking for as well. Though what I'm looking for tends to change on an hourly basis based on the whims of the consultants and their clientele.

I just have a lot of clients who think Google is the only possibility out there and frankly, it doesn't always work the best (though having someone come to me frustrated because they've spent forty-five minutes on Google and being able to find it in two or three using one of the other alternatives is ALWAYS fun.)
