I actually e-mailed kielle once - I think she liked the Remus/Sirius fic I wrote just after OotP, and then I had a vague idea about a Subreality fixture featuring CLAMP characters. She was pleased I knew of Subreality.

These things aren't supposed to happen to fandom people :S

Yeah, I heard about her. I remember going to her journal back in the day.

And you're right about fandom people. I still think of this amazing writer in the SeaQuest fandom who actually edited my fics who unexpectedly died. There is so much about writing and fandom I know that I owe to her.

The only other one I heard about was Dannell Lites in the DC fandom, but that was before my time.

What Kielle had was a talent for bringing people together and setting off their creative energies. Subreality, Meta Quotes, a hundred others... :/

I ran into her quite a few times in various communities. She was always fun to geek out with. It's such a shame. :(

They aren't supposed to happen to any people - but they do, and with a frequency most of us are loathe to admit to. Geekiness, alas, is not armor.
