It's Coming out of the closet WIP day.

But I'm stubborn. And I don't want to give up on my WIPs.

Okay, so Gundam Babylon's kind of dead ~_~ If I ever do finish it, I'd have to overhaul it from the word go. I've gone a long way since then as a writer, and I don't think I could continue in the vein it was started in. And never mind the other Gundam things I started - no chance in hell.

I have about two pages' worth of chapter nine, and a bit of chapter ten that's actually decent. Hokuto preparing to face Seishirou under the tree. Yes, I used far too much of her name. Bear in mind this was written during the summer of 2001.

Other things I haven't touched in a long time? Oh right, the X1999/Angel crossover. Circles in the sand was going to be the title. If I ever go through with it (and I just might, just to play with the Angel characters) I'll use the current Angel situation, so this can be posted without fear, too. Written in January 2002.

And ooh, another X ficcie. A songfic about Satsuki and Yuzuriha. V. weird and twisted and missing a third at the end. Kusanagi was supposed to show up. I wrote that in the early fall of 2002, just as my longest period of writer's block ever came to a close.

As for other X WIPs, I have "Home and Heart", which will probably get totally rewritten someday, the Hellsing crossover (which I plan to work on after Hellsing gets published here), two fics which are written out in longhand, uh, somewhere in this mess (unless Antonio ate them), and a bloody peculiar nightmare fic which is a Sandman crossover and which I need to finish, because it's too creepy by far. Oh, and the Yami crossover. Which is too good a premise to let go of, on top of having decent writing.

OUATIM doesn't get snippets posted, because I'm working on it all :) Current work list:

- the one where Sands meets Lindsey. Which is finished, just need to find all the pages and type it in.

- the Ajedrez-and-El one for [livejournal.com profile] guede_mazaka. Which I intend to finish this week. I've got lots of notes and the theme music so far.

- the sequel to Touch And Feel. Which has about 3000 words done, but half of it will have to be rewritten, unfortunately.

- the day-in-the-life of a young Sheldon Jeffrey Sands. Just started, but the muses have a good hold on me. Sheldon has a dad-of-the-year (if a spymaster is elligible for that reward) and the creepiest mom ever.
winter: (dangerous tastes)
Well, I guess I have to make up for writer's block sometimes. It's just annoying that all inspiration hits at once. As it wasn't enough that I'm writing the sequel to Touch and Feel as well as the OUATIM/Angel crossover (which I need to edit so that Sands can buy the poor guy a drink at least before they leave for the Alley of Debauchery (TM), because it makes Lindsey look far too easy), today I got hit by another bunny.

I mean, come on. After six hours of Tori Amos singing "Crucify" in my head nonstop, something had to give. As it was, it turned out to be my muse. Sands sneered to protect his dignity and ended up negotiating that at least I won't warp OUATIM to it.

So, um, upcoming Angel post season five episode eight reaction songfic. As in, Spike, Lorne, Gunn, Fred, Wes, Angel and [SPOILER] brooding to Tori Amos.

*attempts to remove her treacherous brain with a spoon* Why me? Why do I always get the most idiotically silly inspirations?

And why do the lyrics work so good to the cast of Angel?

Now, off to find some place where I'll be able to publish the monstrosity after writing it.

Back in October, I thought that after Nano I'd go on a nice short writing hiatus, just enough to get my brain back in gear. No writing for a week or so.

Yeah, right. Not this lady.

It started out when I was watching Angel and thinking that seen from one angle, Sheldon Sands and Lindsey MacDonald had a bit in common. Next thing I knew, I was writing a two-thousand-word-long steamy scene in a back alley that featured a few kinks too many. And that seemed to end by hinting at a sequel.

So. Will the OUATiM fandom be interested in such a piece? Or should I just shelf it, since I'm no good at lemons anyway? Decision, decisions...
