i'm very fond of folding origami. my favourite origami models are lily, butterfly, and beetle. i fold butterflies and beetles out of the brown flower-wrapping paper most flower shops use to cover buquets, and every time someone gives us flowers, i keep the wrapping paper, just in case i might feel like folding insects out of them.
i use real, thin, square-cut origami paper for the lilies. i have two small lily vases in my room, one red-black (the vase is also made of paper) and the other is blue (with a large, blue origami lily standing on a branch made of wire in a blue glass vase, in the middle of round, dark blue pieces of glass.)
i have two origami guide books, both were gifts from friends. the other is in finnish and the other one in japanese.
