I've seen it in numerous places just today. A nice, normal LJ cut labelled as a fake one. WHY???

Come on, sing it with me. A fake LJ cut is a link bolded and enclosed in parentheses to look like an LJ cut. It uses the phrase href="http://www.whatever. If what you type includes lj-cut text="this is a fake LJ cut", it makes absolutely. No. Sense!!!!

This post brought to you by a missing newspaper and an Oriflame nail polish that refuses to dry. Oh, and four hours of sleep last night. I should start taking pills or something.

Guilty as charged. But to make you happy, I changed the text, because I'm so nice and all. :-P

I hate to sound like a sheep, but honestly, it's the common term now. I don't usually say "(anything) cut"--usually it's some other smartass comment.

Don't worry about something so minor. Go. Drink your coffee. Think about pretty men. Write on one of your terrific stories. The day will soon seem brighter. ;-D

Here, I'll help. Enjoy teh Pretty!. If you want, there's More Where That Came From.

Feel better? :-D

I don't dig fake cuts myself. It's rather silly. As if I don't have to hover over the damn thing and won't see it leads elsewhere. Witty only once and now it's no longer witty at all.

A real one as a fake one? >>; Yeah, I can see that being fairly annoying.

Perhaps they just want to confuse you?
