Thanks for the review! Very interesting, and sounds like a crackpot night. There was a bit similar incident with the bookshelf in one of the shows I saw in Budapest. There were no bookshelves where bookshelves should have been. The professor stood there for a while, then sang his first line - and then the bookshelf appeared at the back of the stage, and he proudly exclaimed to Alfred: "See, boy, there the books arrive!"
Yay for good father/son relationship!
Though I'm now convinced I must never see Krisha as Alfred. Knowing how picky I am about what makes a good Alfred and what not, and how I'm given to ranting for pages when I see an Alfred I don't like *coughTiborcough*, the world and I will be much happier if I don't see him. Because whether or not his acting is improving, I don't think Alfred should ever, ever, ever, ever in any version of this world or other worlds come across as a prat. Never. Never. Did I say that emphatically enough? He should be a well-meaning sweetheart, just clueless, naive and insecure. (And not stupid. Clueless, yeah, but I hate those who try to get the comedy out of the character by just playing him like he has about one braincell.)
