Found my way here from Google, and I just want to thank you for that very cohesive and detailed review. Was thinking of traveling to Berlin to watch this in August, but now, not so much. If Berlin's production does not work for someone who enjoyed Vienna's simplistic production, like yourself, I cannot see it working for me, who even had issues with Vienna's. As curious as I am about Uwe -- especially after your review -- I doubt he alone can make up for a lacking ensemble, a charmless love triangle, an uninspired direction/choreography and endless projections.
