It's a ruined abbey attached to Holyrood Palace :) We managed to get there at twilight, and were actually some of the last people to be let in - minutes later they decided it was getting too dark.

Hey, it's Scotland ;) Though I really did get lucky with the weather, just one rainy day out of four.

It's like a whole town got moved in time from the mediaeval era. And then someone put a charity shop in every other building and filled the rest with weird semi-goth stuff ;)

I have to admit it seemed somewhat - small-ish to me, but the charm's undeniable :)
