I remember Rising Stars from a few years back, it's not still running is it? JMS said he was intent on writing a story that began, middled, and ended. It was pretty cool at first but I lost interest after the specials all became super strong. That's about when Rising Stars jumped the shark for me, it went from being a cool detective story to being a soap opera in about 2 issues. :/
I dunno - I kinda enjoyed the second trade, even with the cop-out with Flagg and Maas; it's soap-opera-ish, but in the best superhero style. Supposedly JMS settled his differences and the series will be finished this year...
Ah, so it hasn't ended yet. I do love the concept and I think the specials have some of the better imagined super powers to date, but I'm sour on the story.
