FIC: Aere Perennius (SW, gen)

At the cafe today, I was heartily sick of International Prognoses and Simulations. So I got out a notebook and ficced instead. This is the first vignette of at least three I'm planning on the same topic - tentative series title is "What Remains". All ideas property of George Lucas and Matthew Stover, who wrote the Revenge of the Sith novelization that inspired this. 375 words, 15 minutes + 5 minutes editing just now.
