Spring cleaning
Feb. 6th, 2004 08:25 pmIt's Coming out of the closet WIP day.
But I'm stubborn. And I don't want to give up on my WIPs.
Okay, so Gundam Babylon's kind of dead ~_~ If I ever do finish it, I'd have to overhaul it from the word go. I've gone a long way since then as a writer, and I don't think I could continue in the vein it was started in. And never mind the other Gundam things I started - no chance in hell.
I have about two pages' worth of chapter nine, and a bit of chapter ten that's actually decent. Hokuto preparing to face Seishirou under the tree. Yes, I used far too much of her name. Bear in mind this was written during the summer of 2001.
( No Gundam in this one, pure X )
Other things I haven't touched in a long time? Oh right, the X1999/Angel crossover. Circles in the sand was going to be the title. If I ever go through with it (and I just might, just to play with the Angel characters) I'll use the current Angel situation, so this can be posted without fear, too. Written in January 2002.
( Angel meets Subaru Sumeragi )
And ooh, another X ficcie. A songfic about Satsuki and Yuzuriha. V. weird and twisted and missing a third at the end. Kusanagi was supposed to show up. I wrote that in the early fall of 2002, just as my longest period of writer's block ever came to a close.
( Not gonna get us: Yuzuriha and Satsuki )
As for other X WIPs, I have "Home and Heart", which will probably get totally rewritten someday, the Hellsing crossover (which I plan to work on after Hellsing gets published here), two fics which are written out in longhand, uh, somewhere in this mess (unless Antonio ate them), and a bloody peculiar nightmare fic which is a Sandman crossover and which I need to finish, because it's too creepy by far. Oh, and the Yami crossover. Which is too good a premise to let go of, on top of having decent writing.
OUATIM doesn't get snippets posted, because I'm working on it all :) Current work list:
- the one where Sands meets Lindsey. Which is finished, just need to find all the pages and type it in.
- the Ajedrez-and-El one for
guede_mazaka. Which I intend to finish this week. I've got lots of notes and the theme music so far.
- the sequel to Touch And Feel. Which has about 3000 words done, but half of it will have to be rewritten, unfortunately.
- the day-in-the-life of a young Sheldon Jeffrey Sands. Just started, but the muses have a good hold on me. Sheldon has a dad-of-the-year (if a spymaster is elligible for that reward) and the creepiest mom ever.
