Curious where all the technical settings from the Edit Profile page went? Things like setting your journal title, gender, and most of all default post editor (I've seen people grumbling about Rich Text becoming default once you used it) are here. (Link courtesy of deirdrecorwyn)

Also, the default status for new LJ accounts is "Sponsored+" (in other words, advertisments all the way). I am annoyed. On the other hand, darkgrail is a spiffy name.

They'll probably have yet to get around linking said page to "manage accounts" and maybe improve the display graphics a lot a bit.
I'm trying to keep my hands away from the Rich Text editor, figuring I knwo enought html coding to get by without it thankyouverymuch. If I need Rish Text, I'll use my DeepestSender settings.

*sigh* But you can still opt for a free account once you signed up. I'll probably renew my paid account at the end of the year or something, because urgh ads. >_<

What I don't get is users forcing other users to see the ugly navigation bar. Really - I'm not interested in it! It's ugly! Do us all a favour and don't force it on everyoneviewing your journal/community.

Okay, meme question... Do you like to travel, and what are your plans in that area in the next few years.

The account level is editable even on that journal creation screen, but by default the dot is set at "sponsored+". It made me do a double-take. And gah, I agree about the navigation bar - it's terribly annoying. I wish LJ'd listen to users for once...

You can choose not to create a s+ account and thake the free account option - it's just a matter of putting the ticky in a different box.

And I still don't get why people hate the nav bar so much. I read LJ through my friends page. I have my userinfo page bookmarked to log in at; I need never see anyone elses hidious layout or nav strip. Also style=mine is set to hide it on any page you're viewing.

Hey, I linked to the upper layer of that page in this post :P And I created it as a free account, but it was a jarring double-take, especially since that particular journal will probably end up as an RPG puppet, and the guy involved was very vocally displeased in my head ;)

I just find the navbar clunky and aesthetically unpleasant. I like looking at people's LJ layouts, personally, so I only use style=mine when the layout impedes readability.

Oh yes, alighiera took pity on me and pointed it out a while ago. So I used that already.

I don't hate it, per se. I hate its ugly design that makes it clash with most layouts. They could have made it prettier, and of customizable colour. *sigh*

I'm sure customizeable color is on the way; if you like I could also probably make it a different color. But it would still probably clash with most layouts.
