writing-related blather

I wrote 7 pages in longhand today. That's 3,500 words at the very least, and most of it wasn't conversation. Geh.

Yeah, still writing Nano, despite the break for anthropomorphication smut :) I have 20,500 words down typed and 33 pages written. At average, in the previous notbook I had 550 words per page; this one doesn't have side margins, just top and bottom. I think I might actually stand a chance of winning Nanowrimo. Yay me.

The book itself? Going along nicely. I've been surprised quite a few times at how much some characters evolved. At those 35,000 to 40,000 words, I'm barely through the halfway point of the book, maybe less. And I've found out that I can write that many, in three weeks, and neither feel particularly burned out on writing nor disinterested in my story. I'm really glad I went on with this :)

Oh, and I heard something about a certain someone who just appeared on the last episode of Angel. Since they're re-running season two right here and my attraction to him is at a high again, guess what I'm downloading on Bittorrent ^__^ Woo!

Nano accomplishment

20,050 over 14 days, on 4 of which I did not write a single word. And I can't believe myself. And the plot setup is more or less complete. Which means I'll be lucky if the finished book doesn't go over 80,000. Eeep.

12500 words done. A bloody quarter of the novel.

About outlining stories

Note to self: if I ever put in an outline "A meets B and they talk" and don't mention the exact subjects of the talk, I will quite possibly stab myself with a stake. Done this twice now, and I'm sure I knew what the conversations were going to be about when I outlined that bit.

Has anyone else ever had this problem?

Nanowrimo blather

First, yay for Nano-induced productivity :) I managed to finish and edit the pesky fourth chapter of Clamp Campus X and now only need to edit the fifth and final one before posting it tomorrow.

Nanowrimo rambling

*sighs* I need to rant about my Nanowrimo novel somewhere. There'll be more of it here throughout November.
