Public plea thing (LiveJournal changes)

I don't do this often, but today's changes to LiveJournal's design are beyond idiotic even in a long history of idiotic LJ stuff. Just try viewing a long comment thread on a post without a custom design to see what I mean. Please go to the LJ Releases post about them and lodge a formal complaint. Numbers are the one thing they understand.

Some of the comms I'm on can't function without the comment subject headers: it's how we do our voting without it becoming a huge mess. This is ridiculous.

I'm hoping that the fact the lj_releases post will max out on comments within the hour will help ;)

Huh. Looks like they removed that comment restriction, maybe only for official communities. Post is at 5022 comments and growing.

I think it's been 10,000 comments max for a while, but at the rate it's going those are going to be maxed out soon anyway.

On the other hand, it went live as the USA was going to sleep, and STILL there are 5000 comments in less than twelve hours. Here's hoping they get the hint, because I think even strikethrough was slower.

True. Well, with Strikethrough we had to spread the word to some degree, whereas everyone sees this immediately. Default comment pages are default!
