West end tickets fast?

Calling out to London and UK people - in the eventuality that one can be in London on Thursday-Saturday this week, how does one get (cheap) tickets to something like Phantom, Les Miserables, Priscilla, possibly Wicked?

(Also, anyone want to meet up? Evenings should be free-ish.)

There's a ticketbooth place in Leicester Square... you can try there.

Not from what I've seen... There's also a whole load of agencies in the shops around Leicester Square that can sell you tickets but as I've nevere used them I can't say how good/reduced in prices they are.

You could also try here: http://www.theatrebookings.co.uk/?gclid=CMeTh5uzg6wCFYob4QodulPJJQ

The aforementioned ticket booth is always a good try but I should think the usual system of asking for 'stand by' tickets (forget the exact name, sorry) at the theatres' box offices works too. [and gr.. too far away from London to meet up while I'm still this busy]

I should have included 'those tickets can mostly be had only shortly before the start of a performance and there might be return tickets too then'. I usually don't mind the 2 hours one way it takes me to get to London because I love train travels but with the Phd handing in date drawing nearer and nearer I can't afford it time-wise because this is too big a career step for me to mess up. :o)

Yes, of course. It's gone 30 November though I aim for at least finishing the thing before my birthday on 24 apart from a final final read through. Though with that date... my viva might be looming over me already. *blergh* The other thing is that the final train back home to my place leaves Marylebone at about 7.30 or so (I think) so meetings have to be concluded before then. Remind me again a bit closer to the date. :o)

For Wicked, go the day of the performance to the Victoria Apollo theatre, just before the Box Office opens at 10am. It's £27.50, and you get a front row seat! If you can, please go see it. The current cast are AMAZING <3 And Day-seating = best EVER.

Ah D: If you went at 2pm on a Friday, for example, there might be a chance you could get a same day ticket for the evening show. But weekends sell out fast. This is why I went on a Monday morning - the line was insanely short XD For some reason, not a lot of people know about the day-seating thing, so they end up paying insane prices for seats further back. The Box Office reserves the front row especially for day-seating, and they're the cheapest tickets. So it's worth trying to grab one! I hope you manage to go see Wicked <3
