I've done it for two years now, and it's crazy fun :) The key seems to be signing up to write fandoms and characters that you honestly can write, no matter what happens. Once my assigned story is complete, I do believe I'll be writing some stocking stuffers (stories for other people, based on their requests made public after December 21 and/or Dear Santa letters I find earlier), too!
