Aerial hazard

A swallow just crashed through my window. Well, a swift, which is like a swallow only flies faster and can't walk.

The little featherpuff was very lucky Lady P's incapacitated after her operation and wasn't there to deal with her. Fortunately Tonio's never killed anything larger than a spider, so he just meowed at the bird.

I got the cats locked out and put the bird in a shoebox on the balcony. At the time I still thought she was a swallow, so the incoordinated attempts at take-off made me worry. I called the zoo, they said to bring her. I called a cab, got dressed, and then it turned out the bloody thing took off as soon as I picked her up.

Birds are stupid ^_^

And now Tonio's walking around meowing in a way that means "WTF have you done with my new toy???"

Birds have a thing for windows. I know it's their reflection or maybe the window's too clean, but it amazes me anyway. Silly things XD

Hope your dear Lady P is feeling better soon too <3

LOL!! Oh my...XDXD;;; Poor, poor thing. I use wake to birds flying into my window or just right beside it into the wall. Birds just seem to have lousy aim too XP

Happened to me last week with a sparrow, except I was in a restaurant, and the sparrow got in when a customer entered. The bird nearly dropped in the middle of my lunch when it banged her head on the window by which I was seated.

By a strange coincidence, I sort-of walked into a window today. How was I to know they'd finally washed the glass?

I remember once asking a co-worker if there were plans to fill a gap--between the top of the wall and the ceiling--in our offices with glass, only to be told that there was already glass there. Guess it's a good thing I'm not a bird.

As for your aeiral vistor...awww. All's well that ends well.
