Lestat is closing this Sunday

With 39 "official" performances, I believe it did even worse than Crawford's version of Dance of the Vampires. Considering Elton John's comments about a new kind of vampire musical with "no garlic, no crosses, absolutely no dancing vampires", I can't help but chuckle a little. Like von Krolock in my icon.

I pity the cast, though. They assembled such a lot of talented people, it's not their fault the music was trite...

You quit while the books were still reasonable. Compared to what came after Armand, those three were stellar writing.

She killed Armand at the end of Memnoch. Then apparently realized that she'd offed a fan favourite and brought him back in his own book, complete with religious revelations. *sigh*

*sighs* I'll just curl up with TVL and Cry to Heaven, shall I? Oh, and of the later ones, Violin was rather neat, in a crackfic BNF-gone-crazy way.

(I think Mother has up to Blood and Gold in hardback, but never she read it. I got it for like $3 in Minnesota for her...)

I think Violin is the only one I never read. Too jaded after the VC to want to touch more of her books.

Blood and Gold? *wince* The one told by the most idiotic vampire ever... and the one that completely ruins whatever was left of Marius' character.

I don't think our copy of Blood and Gold was ever actually opened :>

And Violin is dreamy/confused, but the imagery is nice at times. It reads like it was written very fast and unedited, though. There are a lot of repetitive themes from the Mayfairs and VC, but it comes together into something readable.
