And after the earlier wibble about paid accounts, I've just gone and spent half the yearly fee for a paid account on a ticket to a ball. Going stag, but hey, it's my college halfway-ball. Tradiiiition. And I've got a show-stopper dress - think Arwen in black tulle and gold, flowing and winged and magical - so maybe some other girl will find herself without a partner before the night is through.
And, of course, I'm writing. More snippets:

His forearm is now across my legs. He's tactile, like all of his branch of the family. You might not expect it, but they are: from Ambarussa's habit of curling up to anyone who can serve as a head-rest (and I can assure you, even one Feanorian redhead leaning on you is damn heavy) to Caranthir's habit of pinning you to a wall when he wants to drive his point home. I remember that when I see Feanor all but wrapped around Nerdanel in press photos from art exhibitions.
She had her latest show in London, and afterwards we danced on Tower Bridge at three in the morning.

Actually I do have a female "date", who's the one dragging me to the ball - her boyfriend's in France and she's feeling down. Maybe I can talk her into putting on a bit of a show... *evil cackle*

The next formal I'll be going to is the Rose Ball at Anime Weekend Atlanta. ...but I still havn't decided if I want to dress up as The Phantom of the Opera or a Rose Bride. I figure by going as the Phantom I'll get more chicks. And by going as the Rose Bride, I'll get more guy looks.
And then I go: vrrt? I don't need no guy lookies! I like teh girls!

This is true. That's basically the only reason it's still in the run. Because, I mean, unless there are some super open lesbian femmies runnin around, it's slim to none I'll get hit on. But if I'm wearing an off the shoulder ballgown with some cleav showin, then it's like ego +10 :D
