Woes of life

(Still incoherent. Sorry.)

I'm toying with the idea of a paid account. For vanity reasons only: I want a better layout and more user icons. The problem? That's $25 per year plus $10 for the icons. Fourteen coffees, eight to ten comic books, four paperbacks, twice my average monthly Avon order, one session at the beauty salon, 2/3 of having my hair done. Priorities, priorities.

In other news, my fictives take a perverse pleasure in giving me ideas while I'm trying to bathe. This time it's a strange modern Fingon. I'm not sure it'll go anywhere; I hope it will, because I find modern Quendi a fascinating concept, and I have a lot of little crystal shards of images that I'd like to fit into it.

Thranduil watching Maedhros play pachinko in a parlour in Osaka is one of them.

But so far, it's just Fingon rambling.

Hell is empty, and all the devils are here.

This is not quite true. Or as Maedhros would say, my metaphor's distant enough that it wouldn't be able to find its own ass with a telescope.

My cousin has a great way with words.

The world has changed in ways that leave even the Powers bewildered. They no longer talk to us, nor walk among us. When the cat is away, the mice will play. It helps that we've got what amounts to our own airline now.

After the three-hundredth twist on bribery, blackmail or outright begging, Earendil threw a fit and set up a price table. In American dollars, which he uses to keep Elwing in Manolo Blahnik heels and Luis Vuitton bags.

And so Tirion is empty. All the souls are here.

In other news, teen!Seishirou in Tsubasa? Woo. I so need to get scanlations...

Paid accounts are nice, but I think I could have spent my money better elsewhere. Then again...XD;; Maybe six months might be better? Or even two months?

As for Seishirou...mmm, a very sexy teen. I know Be With You has scans, and pileofash.net has some. And that link I put up :P I hope that helps a little?

Your economist is making the random-spender in me quiver with that bit of knowledge. Is trying to pretend the 'more' is actually 'less' XD;;

*cuddles back* And my pleasure!

*Sporfles* Would you be so kind to point in which chapter does Seishirou-kun appear? Pretty please? :3

No problem! And it's chapter 41 n_n I believe around the tail end, though he makes a spiffy mysterious appearance a little earlier n_n

Wooo... Saw the scan on Leareth's LJ. He's absolutely droolworthy ♥____________♥

[identity profile] ripedecay.livejournal.com 2004-04-21 05:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Did you need the link for the scans? I wasn't sure since you just asked for the chapter XD;;

And oh God, yes. He's incredibly droolworthy and sexy. And apparently still has it in him to attract small boys like Shoaran <3 *giggles*

I really liked that wee excerpt!!

After the three-hundredth twist on bribery, blackmail or outright begging, Earendil threw a fit and set up a price table. In American dollars, which he uses to keep Elwing in Manolo Blahnik heels and Luis Vuitton bags. Image

I always recommend the paid account. Even though I seldom pay for mine. I just have some loverly friends who keep me in userpics!

That's the key! ;) :D

Ah, so this is the product of the 'Fingon in the bath attack.' Very neat. :)

You know, I distinctly got a "Lost in Translation" feel from this drabble.

[identity profile] tehta.livejournal.com 2004-04-21 09:43 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, but weird is good. Weird and original is better.

But the Lost In Translation part... I now have this image of Fingon sitting on a bed in hotel bathrobe and slippers. Not sure that I needed this.

I think you should get the paid account, because your icons are always so interesting and I selfishly want to see more of them.
