Photos: Cat Show in Blue City

I went to the cat show in the Blue City mall today. Ogled a lot of gorgeous kitties, did some shopping (Lestat is currently sprawled on my bed, blissed out on valerian and catnip) and took photos.

(And incidentally, I know there are a lot of strays that need rescuing like my two boys did. But one day, I want a great big white angora or Maine Coon to cuddle up with and put a diamond collar on.)

SO wanted to do that :D I got to pet quite a few, but most of them were either "can't be bothered", "die you puny humans" or just plain nervous as hell. Poor tired kitties :(

You can't tell by the photos I put up (only three Maines for some reason), but Maine Coon judging was going on that day, and about two thirds of the cats on the floor were Maines, Norwegian Forest Cats and Siberians. Fluffbals in cages don't photograph that well, alas, but they were such gorgeous big furry things :)

But yeah, that was the prevailing attitude among the Maines in the show. "Bored now. Go away."

Best of both worlds, then :) I hear pedigree Persians (and British kitties, cute and vicious though they are) often have breathing trouble thanks to those short noses.

The Abyssinian looks quite grumpy! I have a pedigreed persian who live with my parents. She doesn't do well as an only feline so I couldn't take her with me when I moved. Plus she's bonded to their kitten in a mommy sort of way. Someday I want to have a Norwegian Forest cat. I think they're so wonderful. And the Sphynxes too!
