I'm trying to finish the OUATIM things, but Sands just keeps blowing me raspberries. That's two ficlets, about 100 words missing from each. I'm eternally distracted by everything from computer equipment to new elves *waves to Caranthir and Lalwen*

When did you write your first "Fanfiction" piece? What was it for?
Sailormoon. A post-Stars piece that had the generals from the first series returning - with Zoisite posing in disguise as a sailor senshi. There was mild and very romantic shounen-ai, and I was the proverbial thirteen-year-old. At least it wasn't a Mary Sue!
Did you actually post it anywhere?
No way in hell. My first posted thing was Gundam Babylon.
What series have you written fanfics for?
*sighs* Chronologically? Sailormoon, Gundam Wing, Tokyo Babylon/X1999, DC Comics/Batverse, Matrix, Get Backers, Harry Potter, Yami no Matsuei, OUATIM, POTC, LOTR/Silmarillion. Crossed-over only: The Crow, Fight Club, Rurouni Kenshin, The Hitch-Hiker's Guide To The Galaxy, Hellsing, Underworld, Sleepy Hollow.
Any Original Characters (ones that got named) that you had inhabit the series universes? If so- who/where? (yes, this is where we embarrass you by revealing your dark secrets!)
Sure. Prime examples that show up more than once would be Casey the tactile seer with a drink problem from X, Carmen Davies the CIA agent from OUATIM, and lately Taithrenwen from Silmarillion. There's of course others - I don't have a phobia of original characters.
If you had the chance to have the original creator turn any of your fanfic into an actual real piece, which story would you choose?
The Batman stuff from the Darkest universe, which I need to finish sometime. I happen to think it'd make a great DC Elseworlds mini-series.
Or the Loki thing I've been doing. Even the sudden Maglor would be easy to turn into something semi-original, and it's tailor-made for Vertigo.
Do you have any weird music quirks that help you write?
Not unless you count getting up, turning on the radio, and dancing with myself for a few minutes as I work things out in my head. Hard rock's best for it, but good old-timer dance/pop (think early Madonna) works too.
What are common "themes" you hide in your stories?
Change. When, how, how far. The archetypal trickster often shows up for some reason. Oh, and teenage boys having hero-crushes on their mentors: so far I've had Kamui, Tim Drake and preteen!Boromir.
What are your favorite characters to write POVs from?
Sands, probably - I never have problems with him.finwion is good too - the problem is usually getting him to shut up.
What story of yours do you wish more people would read and love?
All of them?
I don't have anything in particular I'm more proud of than the others. Some I'm less proud of, yes.
If you could pick a specific scene of your story to be made into a comic-book/douji nshi format, what scene from what fanfic would you pick?
From Darkest Before Dawn, the Batverse fic. I want a poster of the last scene: Nightwing and Azrael back to back, Starfire with her hair cut and her face scarred, Piper with a cat's smile, Connor Hawke and Kyle Rayner (preferably holding hands), Firestorm with flame-wings. With the sun shining on them. And they're all covered in blood.
And last but not least- Why do you like writing fanfiction?
It has the best toys, and I get nigh-instant feedback on what in my writing works. Plus, the muses would kill me if I didn't.
