A history of violence

Let's just say that the only way I could tell that A history of violence was a Cronenberg movie was by the single teeth shot ;)

I loved this movie, because it manages to tell a story with very human means. Dialogue is minimal, and acting is superb - not only from Viggo, though he's amazing. Some motifs are cliches, but the acting turns them into something real. It's short, it packs a punch, and it leaves you with a warm feeling unspoiled by any Hollywood ending. It feels real. Highly recommended.

Ah! Someone else who's as impressed as I was by this film. I thought it was quite brilliantly done, and ultimately very disturbing and thought-provoking.

I loved the ambiguity of the ending too. You know the family will never be the same again, you're just not certain of how... Maybe you should write something...

No sweat on the feedback. I'm just pleased to have time to catch up at last.
