And as a follow-up to yesterday's post: Rómeó és Júlia in sound and motion.

Verone - or why Attila Németh should wear capes more often.

Les Rois du Monde - watch the boys being boys :D

C'est le Jour - Tybalt and his Epilepsy of DRAMA. (Obligatory material for anyone who would think Szilveszter Szabo cannot act.)

It's a common trope I've heard from Polish fans in particular, because his Death is so much more subtle than certain people's bounce-rar-tackle ways ;)

Honestly, people who say that have got no conception of acting. Of course he's different from e.g. Máté, and everyone's free to not like the way he interprets the character. But acting's about more than shouting, roaring, grabbing and bouncing. I do like Máté, but personally I've always been even more impressed by how much Szilveszter can express in subtle ways. How much emotion he can put to a single expression or movement.

There was a similar occasion in our Finnish forums... One girl had seen Szilveszter as Death and complained that he was - hmm, I don't know if there's a good equivalent of the word in English, but something like lame and not intense. I was completely unable to comprehend how anyone could say that (and after having seen Szilveszter live myself I was even less able to comprehend that, because seriously, I could scarcely look at anyone else when he was on stage). But of course, this girl's idea of Death was Vienna-Máté and she just couldn't appreciate a different interpretation and see the intensity that hides behind that cool, majestic exterior.

I also once ran into a person who claimed based on his Tybalt that he can't act, but this is why I don't frequent R&J message boards. They're too full of people who have no idea at all of theatre and acting.

I managed to fall in love with his Death the first time I saw the 2004 proshot. Maybe I'm special. ;)

I'm quite sure it's Sziszi's own hair. He sometimes has long hair as Tybalt, sometimes short, depending on his own hairstyle at the time. And in 2005 he had long hair.

He's at his most gorgeous in that musical. :) Though I also like his current hairstyle - a bit longer than the short hairstyle he used to have, but perhaps more manageable than the long hair. Still, I'd be happy if he went back to that long hair and kept it styled the Tybalt way all the time. :)

(I stalk his hair length way too much. Oh well, I suppose I must be allowed my resident fangirlism.)

...I think I just developed a spontaneous crush on Sziszi.

No, really. And I don't generally do that. TYBALTHAIR FTW.

It gets better- I've now shared the love with friends and converted at least one of them.

I am now crossing my fingers for him to play Maxim if they ever bring Rebecca to Hungary, and I now reallyreallyreally need to get my Hungarian R+J on my iPod, because the only song I have with substantial amounts of him in it is "Every Path Is A Maze" from the Elisabeth TAC, and that is INSUFFICIENT. I have the Hungarian Mozart! laying around somewhere too, I should probably look into uploading that to my iPod as well... (And finally, you know you're a former pre-med student when the 2% of your brain that isn't overwhelmed by Sziszi-related pretty during his "C'est le jour" pipes up with "Hey, they're actually following the proper procedure for first response to an epileptic fit!")

Yes, absolutely. He'd be an amazing Maxim. And to be honest, I can't really think of who else they would cast in the role, he definitely seems the most suitable of all available actors. I've already tried to listen to the Vienna cast of Rebecca while imagining Szilveszter singing Maxim. Of course, Uwe distracts that process a little, but I have a good imagination. ;)

Hehe, someone has done their homework there, too. ;)

As for audios containing... I've been uploading stuff for people lately, so if you give me your e-mail address, I can throw you download links.
