Oh. Yes. LiveJournal. (For the curious: situation unchanged over here.) Meme stolen from [livejournal.com profile] selenak.

Which TV shows did you start watching in 2012?

Legend of Galactic Heroes (started and finished), Revenge (occasionally catching up), Elementary (gave up after 6 episodes), Suits (didn't continue after the first season), Leverage (recent discovery and so much fun). And hey, SAGIRI qualifies :D

Which TV shows did you let go of in 2012?

Downton Abbey, Suits, Elementary.

Which TV shows did you mean to get into but didn't in 2012? Why?

I keep considering Rizzoli and Isles.

Which TV shows do you intend on checking out in 2013?

Nothing planned. I tend to watch as something catches my attention.

Which TV show impressed you least in 2012?

Downton Abbey. I watched the first two episodes of the new season and realised I had no desire to watch more.

Which TV show did you enjoy the most in 2012?

Dammit, hard one. LOGH was epic and gave me all sorts of things to think about (and the way they juggle a cast of hundreds is glorious), Revenge gets all sorts of +1 for thoroughly genderflipping Count of Monte Christo in very amusing ways and a cast of ruthless complicated human women, but over the last month that's Leverage - I've been in the mood for something silly and not stupid and full of eyecandy, and it's very well-crafted entertainment that's amazingly character-oriented for a villain-of-the-week show. Definitely mental comfort food.

In brief:

Game of Thrones - I didn't read the books, and I think that might be why I'm so repelled; I don't know who those people are, and instead of making me care (with the exception of small humanising moments for Clan Stark), HBO's going through the predictable checklist of "let's shock people!!!" that made me stop watching True Blood, combined with stock political fantasy material. Unless the second episode presents a dramatic departure, that'll be it for me.

The Borgias - This, on the other hand, I like lots. My kind of murderous priests, and the storytelling is aces ♥ Doesn't hurt that Jeremy Irons is having the time of his life, and Cesare-guy is adorable when he goes all threatening. (And the women - Giulia Farnese in particular, possibly the first time in American television I've seen the other woman done as a sympathetic character.)

Castle - Still watching, still enjoying :) This and Mentalist remain my mostly-mindless entertainment shows. (And White Collar, when it's on.)

Doctor Who - WHY ISN'T IT EASTER YET?
